The BearPark in Bern opened officially on 22 October 2009. For the public, however, it was opened on 25 October 2009.

The bears of Bern now live in a 6000 m2 park along the banks of the River Aare. They can still access the large bear pit, now a historic monument. The small bear pit is open to the public and can be hired for events. The Bearpark shop can be reached via the small bear pit.
